Our Story

Hi, I’m Laura! I live in a charming resort town in northwest Montana. We moved here in 1999 from a big city. I had never lived in a small town before and I wasn’t so sure I’d really like it. I still remember how quiet it was. I remember being dismayed and disappointed that I could shop the entire town in an hour. My real question: What do I do here? And what does everyone else do here?

I quickly learned that people did nature. Hiking, biking, swimming, boating, skiing, fishing, camping, huckleberry picking and more. These were things I had experienced growing up, but they were scheduled events, not every day options! I realized I would be trading museums for mountains, symphonies for skis, and fine dining for fishing. It hit me that my backyard was a majestic playground! This city girl eventually had a change of heart, perspective and preference.

Today, my adventurous husband and I feel blessed that we are able to raise our three children in the great outdoors! Two of our children have left the nest, but their hearts are still in Montana. Big Sky country has left an indelible impression on them which continues to fuel a love for outdoor adventure and gratitude for God’s creations. You will probably see them a lot here. 

As for me, this is my happy place. My unexpected home has been a gift. I want to share that gift with you through nature-inspired products that keep you connected to the outdoors and to others.
